Danielle & Friends to Hold Michael Ledbetter Benefit

Thursday, February 7, 2019

A memorial benefit will be held 5pm on Sunday, February 17th at Knuckleheads Saloon in The Garage to Celebrate the Life of Michael David Ledbetter. Ledbetter, an explosive opera-turned-blues vocalist and guitarist, died Jan 21 of a head injury resulting from an epileptic seizure.

Ledbetter gained prominence as a wildly popular repeat performer on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise, partnered with Mike Welch, but where he also jammed with others, including Danielle Nicole. His full story can be found here.

The benefit was Danielle's idea. She quickly enlisted musicians eager to help:  Mike Welch, Nick & Kate Moss, Mary Bridget Davies, Patrick Recob, Damon Parker, Brandon Miler Band, Dust Devil Choir and more TBA.

All proceeds from this Fundraiser will benefit the Michael David Ledbetter Family Fund. This fund will go directly to Michael’s beautiful and very young children, Holland and Michael. The funds from this fundraiser, and any fundraiser that chooses to participate, mature in an account until they each reach the age of 18. You can also choose to donate by mailing a check to Michael D. Ledbetter Foundationc/o Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise, 313 Lawrence St.Kansas City, MO. 64111 (which will not take a cut) or through the Michael Ledbetter Memorial Fund gofundme
