Patrick Recob Releases "Perpetual Luau" to Raves

Friday, May 5, 2017

Longtime Kansas City bass player Patrick Recob achieved a dream Friday with the nationwide release of his CD Perpetual Luau. Longtime friend and harp player James Harman insisted on producing an album and Recob couldn't refuse. The songs are originals, including one named for Recob's cat Kitty LaMieux, who makes a vocal appearance at the end of that tune (and she is given credit in the liner notes).

Recob and wife Lisa were married in 2012 in Hawaii, which had some influence on the name of the album. A party is a great time, but a perpetual luau--if you've ever been to a real luau, you know what an event it is, and having a perpetual luau as a way to live your life--well, that is extraordinary.

Recob is a humble, happy, optimistic, and spiritual soul who shares credit for his success with the Universe and the support of his friends and family. He received funding through a Gofundme campaign and is now busy fulfilling the rewards of those who donated.

American Blues Scene wrote a great review which can be found here.
